When there is a challenge presented to you, you can learn from it and use it as a chance to overcome it.

我们来看下各个单词的意思。When 当……时，there is there be 句型，有; challenge 挑战， presented （呈现）,you（你，你们）, can（能）, learn （学习）, use（用，利用）, as（作为）, chance（机会）, overcome（克服） .

相信每个单词解释之后，基本的意思就明白了。

我们再看一看短语。learn from ……从……学习。选句当中learn from it，it指代挑战，所以是从挑战中学习。

我们分析一下句子结构。 there is a challenge presented to you， there is 是一种句型，表示“在哪里有……”presented to you是 动词过去分词作后置定语，也可以理解成被动的语态。上面的句子可以拆分成两句。1 there is a challenge. 2 the challenge is presented to you . (be + PP 动词过去分词， 是被动语态的基本结构)。把这两个句子合并的时候，challenge you 2个，已经重复，只写一个即可。所以可以解释为“有一项挑战，这个挑战（被）被呈现在你面前”或者“你面临一项挑战”。

you can learn from it and use it as a chance to overcome it. 是can后面的并列，整个句子可以拆分成 1. you can learn from it, 2 you can use it as a chance to overcome it.

最后，分析下整个句子。When there is a challenge presented to you(when引导时间状语从句+there be 句型 动词过去分词后置), you can learn from it and use it as a chance to overcome it. （can 情态动词后，and 连接两个并列句）
