哪里有茶杯 汉译英你能翻译的贴切吗 （There be 句型）
今天学习There be句型。
我们一听到there be句型，通常会想到“有”字，英文里相对应的就会想到have和 has,但是英语里的有和汉语里的有表达方法是截然不同的。
“有”表示拥有者或者执行者
例如： 我有一本书。I have a book.这个句子就是主谓宾的句子。have是及物动词必须有宾语。
桌上有五本书。There are five books on the table.
英语里的疑问句一般会用Have you ...?美语里却常用Do you have......?
后面学完成时态的时候，疑问句我们也会用到Have you...?你想如果我只是看到英语应用的have you ...?只看到这些我们就无法区分问的是你有什么东西吗？还是问你完成了什么或者是问你做完了什么呢？为了避免这概念的混淆，问你有或者他有什么的时候，就用美语里的Do you have,,,?
Do you have a book? 你有一本书吗？
Did you have a car last year? 你去年有车吗？
完成时 ：Have you .......?
一般时 ：Do you have......?
过去时 ：Did you have......?
我有一本书。 I have a book 。 这句话的主语不仅是动词的执行者还是宾语的拥有者。
桌上有五本书。 There are five books on the table. 这句话的主语既不是动词的执行者也不是宾语的拥有者。
通常我们习惯把there be 句型说成是某处有某物，如果这样理解，就容易导致英汉语序一样的错误理解，我们就会习惯的翻译成桌子have(has)书。
说正确的理解是这样的，有某物在某处就是there be句型.这样理解才是正确的
There be (are is)一般时 there be （were was）过去时
There have（has） been 完成时,there be 句型的完成时表示一度有过,若表示“已经有“往往使用一般时态"there is(are)"所代替。
There will be 是将会有。
There be句型 也有相应的时态，而且thre be 还可以和情态动词联用，比如可能有、应该有、一定（must）有。

there is 句型(可数单数)，there is句型(不可数名词)表示好多时用 much .......。
there are 句型(可数单数)是名词后加s或es,there are句型(可数复数)many加在可数名词前。
there be句型表示很少时，few和a few修饰可数名词，表示少量。修饰不可数名词时表示少量用little 和a little.
There is a pen.
There is much milk.
There are many peple.
There are a few peple.
以上句型，否定句就是be动词后加not,疑问句就是be动词提到句首，句号变问号。
There be 句型里没有说明具体的数量的时候，肯定句there be后面用some,否定句和疑问句用any.

刘教授讲了一个对there be句型理解不透彻的事例，有个应聘的老师，应刘教授要求翻译一句话，哪有茶杯？应聘者首先回答说Where is the cup?（茶杯在哪里啊？）然后他接着说还可以翻译成Where can I find the cup ?（我在哪里可以找到茶杯啊？）刘老师说你翻译的这两句的具体句型都不错，可能是因为对there be句型理解的不够透彻，拿不准才导致翻译了两次，但是两句话都不够贴切，语言毕竟就是要讲究个贴切。
就教授说看看下面这个句子There is a cup in the room。如果对in the room提问，不就是应该这样：Where is there a cup ?（哪有茶杯？）这句话才准确贴切，句子能翻译到这个程度，功底就绝对不一般了。
对这个句子I am in the room .对the room 提问。句子应该是What am I in?
对There are five cups in the room.中的five cups提问，What is there in the room?five cups 是主语，对主语提问要按照第三人称单数形式。
There must be many peple. (there must be 一定有...)
