【拓展】despite 和 in spite of 的区别

最主要的区别：despite 后面可以跟名词性短语或从句，而 in spite of 后只能跟名词或名词性短语，而且两者的语气也有些微区别，下面一起来看看几个例句~

〔辨析〕语气较轻，与 in spite of 相比用得略少。

Despite all their efforts to win the game, they were defeated by 4 to 3.

〔辨析〕语气较强，比 despite 更常见。
