一、很多时候我们需要表达“太......而.......”这样的含义，在英语中我们用什么样的句型呢？
老何给你提供两个好用的表达：
1. too ... to ... 这个表达的意思是太......而不能......。
2. so...that... 意思是太......而......。
比如：
这本书太无聊，以至于没法读。This book is too boring to read.This book is so boring that I can"t read it.
这太深奥了，以至于无法弄懂。It is too profound to understand.It is so profound that we can not understand.
这些书太重了，搬不动。These books are too heavy to lift.These books are so heavy that we cannot lift them.
从上面三组句子我们可以看出too...to...和so... that...的联系和区别。
主要是too...to...的to后面表达的是“不能......”，是否定的意思。
二、as if/ as though
像......一样
在写作中我们经常会遇到表达“像......一样”的意思,很多同学可能会想到用like,
He wanted to fly like a bird.他想像鸟儿一样飞翔。
she could swim like a fish.她可以像鱼一样游泳。
不过如果“像......”后面的部分想写一个句子的话，like这个单词在口头表达当中可用，如果是相对正式的书面文字，我们一般还是用as if或者as though来表达。
1. 他们还在那里挥手就像完全没有听从父母的劝告。
They were still waving their hands as if / as though they did not follow their parents" advice completely.
这个句子书面语口头语都可以运用。
They were still waving their hands like they didn"t follow their parents" advice completely.
这个表达一般用于口语。
2. 他跟我说话，就像我的父亲在跟我说话一样。
He said to me as if he were my father.（注意，这里if后面是虚拟语气，be动词要用were一般不用was。）
He said to me like he was my father. 一般只能在口语当中使用。
三、 我们如何在英语中表达“爱上......,迷恋上......”?
我爱上了邻居家的那个可爱的女孩。
I fell in love with that lovely girl next door.
这里 fall in love with是最明确正式简单的表达形式。
如果这样表达:
I have a crush on that lovely girl next door.
Have a crush on somebody, 意思是“迷上了某人,迷恋某人”，这个表达相对口语化一点，写作中也可以使用。
如果这样说:
I"m crazy about that lovely girl next door.
我爱上了邻居家的可爱女孩儿。
Be crazy about somebody 意思是“爱上某人，迷上某人”，口语中使用比较多。
