英语中的括号你知道多少

圆括号是用来在文本或段落中引出信息的标点符号。在字符图释的范围之外，括号总是成对出现。他们可以附上一个单词，一个短语甚至整个句子。通常，括号内的单词提供关于句子中其他内容的额外信息。

“Curators from the American Museum of Natural History (AMNH) have announced a new dinosaur exhibit.”

“While walking down the street (paying more attention to her phone than to her feet), Catherine tripped over the curb and sprained her ankle.”

方括号通常用来表示单词已被添加到直接引用中。

“We went [to the new dinosaur exhibit] and had a great time.”当你直接引用别人的东西时，使用方括号是非常重要的，如果忘记了则会导致错误的引用。

圆括号或括号与周围的标点符号

用括号把它们中的单词与句子的其余部分分开。

“Meena (studied all night for) the grammar test.”

“Meena studied (all night) for the grammar test.”

“Meena studied for the grammar test.”

除了跟在括号内容之后，否则句号、问号和感叹号只能放在括号之外面。

“After dinner (an enormous, healthy salad,) Posey treated herself to ice cream.”
