什么是“移位现象”？

【解题指导与方法】

由于中英语言结构差异，在中译英时会发生移位现象。移位是指将句子中的某两个部分交换位置的现象，目的在于避免句子“头重脚轻”。下面以两个中学阶段常见的句型（结构）为例：

1．make＋宾语＋宾补。当宾语是一个较长的词组或是带有多个修饰语（甚至是定语从句）的名词时，通常将宾补与宾语移位，变为：make＋宾语＋宾补。如：

make sth. possible（移位前）

make possible sth.（移位后）

2．take sth. for granted。当sth.是一个较长的词组或是带有多个修饰语（甚至是定语从句）的名词时，通常将宾补与宾语移位，变为：take for granted sth.。

注意：上述两个句型（结构）中，若宾语是一个从句，必须使用形式宾语it，句型变化为make it＋宾补＋宾从；take it for granted that …。

1．科技的迅猛发展使得世界各地人们的交流成为可能。

The rapid development of science and technology makes possible the communication between people around the world.

2．顾客希望厂商明确说明产品经常出现故障的原因。

Customers want the manufacturers to make clear the reason why the products often go wrong.

3．新建的城际铁路使得小城市的居民到大城市工作的梦想成为可能。

The newly-built inter-city high-speed railway makes possible the dream of the residents of smaller cities who want to work in the metropolis.

4．不懂感恩的人总是把别人给予他们的帮助当作理所当然。

Those who don"t know how to be grateful are always taking for granted the help that others give to them.

【例题说明】例句1将make the communication…possible变换成了make possible the communication…；例句2将make the reason… clear变换成了make clear the reason …；例句3将make the dream … possible变换成了make possible the dream …；例句4将take the help … for granted变换成了take for granted the help …。
