关于all的4个短语用法详解 “all（in all”意为“总之”）

All 作为代词，意为“全部;所有”;作为形容词，意为“所有的;全部的”。eg: We are all here. 我们都在这儿。(代词)All students went to the zoo, why didn"t you go?所有的学生都去动物园了，你为什么不去呢？

1. all in all 意为“总的来说(一句话);总之”，=in one word/in the end, 常用于一个句子或者一段文章的的句首，用来对所发表的意见作总结。

eg: All in all, I like the pink dress. 总之一句话，我就是喜欢那件粉色的裙子。

All in all, everything was okay. 总得来说，一切都很顺利。

2. in all 意为“总共; 共有”，可放于句首，也可放于句末，常用于对某事物数量的合计。可用the number of +…改为同义句。

eg: In all, I have five pairs of shoes. 我总共有五双鞋。 =The number of my shoes is five pairs of shoes.

Our class has twelve girls in all. 我们班共有12个女生。=The number of girls is twelve in our class.

3. not…at all 意为“一点也不;根本不”，常放于句中，用于表明某人对某事物或人的态度。

eg: I don"t like the apples at all. 我一点也不喜欢苹果。

He doesn"t dislike reading books. 他很喜欢读书。(双重否定表肯定)。

4. first of all 意为“首先;第一”，常放于句首，用于阐述做某事的先后顺序。

eg: First of all, you must take good care of your little sister. 首先，你必须照顾好你的妹妹。

First of all, you can play computer games with your friends. 第一，你可以和你的朋友们玩电脑游戏。
