基础班：英语里最复杂的是动词（1. 情态动词）

英语里面，动词最重要，特别是动词做谓语的时候。一个句子，必须有一个谓语动词。

首先看情态动词：can 能，can"t =can not不能

I can help you. 我能帮你。

I can"t help you. 我不能帮你。

Can I help you? 我能帮你吗？

在这里，谓语是情态动词加后面的一个动词的原形。所以要记住，情态动词不能单独做谓语，后面要加动词原形。

其它的情态动词还有：must 必须，mustn"t = must not不准，need 需要，needn"t = need not不必。要特别注意这两个的用法。

Must I leave now? 我必须现在离开吗？

No, you needn"t. 不，你不必。

You mustn"t take your dog on the bus. 你不准带狗上巴士。

还有will 将/会，won"t=will not 将不/不会

这个情态动词一般用于将来时，指说话时决定的，或者一种愿望。

I will do it later. 我晚点再做它。

Everything will be fine. 一切都会好的。

剩下的情态动词还有：should 应该，shouldn"t=should not 不应该，have to 必须/不得不，don"t have to 不必，shall 将（一般用于第一人称，用于第二人称时指允诺）。

You should listen to her. 你应该听她的。

You shouldn"t shout at her. 你不应该对她吼。

I have to go to work from Monday to Friday. 周一到周五我必须上班。

You don"t have to work overtime. 你不必加班工作。

Shall we start tomorrow? 我们明天开始，好吗？

Shall I go with you? 我和你一起去吗？

最后还有组合的，相当于情态动词的：You"d better do... 你最好做...... ， You "d better not do...你最好别做......，I"d rather do... 我宁愿做...... I"d rather not do... 我宁愿不做...... 。

You"d better go there on time. 你最好准时去那里。

You"d better not go to work late. 你上班最好别迟到。
