六年级英语（过去时和过去进行时的语法学习）

现在孩子的学习，都是从听说开始，和我这个哑巴英语形成鲜明的对比。小高年级开始慢慢的接触语法结构。一是觉得孩子需要一个过渡的阶段，二是可以一起学习。

所以，跟着孩子的课程一起学习一下。陪的过程还是有很多的收获，一是老师们总结的很好，二是自己跟着学习，可以是不是的提问孩子，在无形中给予复习和巩固。

Roy Trenton used to [1] drive a taxi. A short while ago [2], however, he became a

bus driver and he has not regretted it. He is finding his new work far more exciting [3]. When he was driving along Catford Street recently, he saw two thieves rush out of a shop and run towards a waiting car. One of them was carrying a bag full of money [4].

Roy acted quickly and drove the bus straight at the thieves. The one with the money got such a fright that [5] he dropped the bag. As the thieves were trying to get away [6] in their car, Roy drove his bus into the back of it. While the battered car was moving away [7], Roy stopped his bus and telephoned the police. The thieves" car was badly damaged and easy to recognize. Shortly afterwards [8], the police stopped the car and both men were arrested.

[1] used to do sth. 过去常常做某事 e.g. Tom used to go to school by bus.

[2] a short while ago不久前[3] far more exciting 令人兴奋得多。far 修饰比较 more exciting，表示“很，非常”
