英语中分数词在句子可以做哪些句子成分

在英语中，分数词运用很广泛，分数词表达的是个数字，如果后面接名词，一般常常和of 连用。

在英语中，分数词在句子中都可以做哪些成分呢？

分数词在句子中做主语，做动词宾语或者介词的宾语，做同位语或表语，做定语，还可以做句子里的状语，下面我们分别来看一下例子。

（一）分数词作主语

A quarter of the students are boys.

四分之一的学生是男孩。

Two- fifths of books on the self are old.

架子上五分之二的书都是旧书。

Over nine-tenths of China "s inhabitants belong to the Han nationatity.

中国居民的十分之九以上都是汉族。

（二）分数词作动词宾语或者介词的宾语

We used one-fifth of money for that new car.

我们用了五分之一的钱来买那辆新车。

The bed takes up two-thirds of the space.

床就占了三分之二的空间。

Negroes account for one-sixth of the population.

黑人占人口的六分之一。

（三）分数词作同位语

Three million people,about two-fifths of our population ，live in the city .

大约占人口五分之二的三百万人居住在这个城市里。

Four boys ，about one-tenth of the students in our class, didn"t pass the exam.

约占班级十分之一的四个男生没有考试及格。

（四）分数词可以做表语

The apples last year was only one-third of the usual amount.

去年苹果的收成只是正常年的三分之一。

This skirt is one-third as cheap as that one .

这条裙子比那条裙子便宜三分之一。

（五）分数词可以做定语

They worked there for two and half years(two years and a half).

他们在那里工作了两年半。

It"s one-twentieth the thickness of a piece of paper.

它相当于一张纸的二十分之一那么厚。

（六）分数词可以做状语

The new table is one-sixth larger than that old one.

这张新桌子比那个旧的大六分之一。

The room is two - fifths smaller than that one.

这个房间比那个房间小了五分之二。
