否定句（一）

一、基本句式：主语+助动词+not+行为动词/表语+其他.

1、该句型是标准的否定句式，not放在助动词之后，若有多个助动词时，not放在第一个助动词之后。not否定对象是实意动词/表语。

2、常用的助动词有：be,have和兼作助动词的情态动词can,could,must,ought,need,dare,may,might,used to等。

例如：

He doesn’t like apples.

他不喜欢苹果。

She didn’t go to school yesterday.

她昨天没去上学。

I don’t have the least longing for the book.

我丝毫没有想要那本书。

We should not live just for ourselves alone.

我们不应该只为自己活着。

二、主语+行为动词+no/not+宾语+其他.

1、在该句型中，no/not否定的不是谓语动词，否定的是从句的内容或者句子的状语。

2、在该句型中，常用的行为动词有：think, feel, believe, suppose

3、该句型是否定句的特殊形式，语气较婉转，翻译时按汉语习惯翻译。

例如：

You don’t feel very well today.

你今天并不感到舒服。

He feels not very well today.

他今天感到不太舒服。

He doesn’t feel in a good health.

他觉得身体不太好。

I don’t believe that your watch works very well.

我笃定你的表不准。

三、主语+行为动词+no/not+宾语+其他.

该句型是典型的书面语，多用于重大场合。

例如：

Truth fears no colours.

真理不怕歪曲。

The boy hearing this knew not how to answer his teacher.

男孩听到这，不知该如何答复他的老师。

四、否定句+without+名词/动名词.

在该句型中，without引导的内容含有条件意义。

若强调条件则： Without+名词/动名词，否定句.

例如：

Without your help, we couldn’t have finished the task.

没有你的帮助，我们现在不可能已然完成这项任务。

In the course of learning English one could not speak it without making any mistakes.

在学习英语的过程中，任何人都不可能在口语中一点错误也不犯。

We can’t live without water and air on earth.

地球上若没有空气和水，我们就无法生存。

五、否定句+nor/neither+助动词肯定式+主语+其他.

1、否定句后面的是补充的否定。

2、后部分本身是nor/neither开头，所以主谓倒装，谓语在前，主语在后。

例如：

I did not pass the exam, neither did he.

我的考试不及格，他也如是。

I didn’t have a dictionary, nor did her.

我没有词典，她也是。
