英语中副词在句子中的位置概述（二）
一、position of adverbs副词的位置：句中(详述)
典型错误：* I gooften to the theatre.
*She oftenis late.
*We alwayshave lived in this house.
*This job will be neverfinished.
1、一般说来，用于句中的副词要放在动词之前；但若遇到am， Are，is，was，were，即或这些动词是主要动词，也要把副词放在它们之后。
I oftengo to the theatre.我经常去看戏。
She suddenlystood up and started singing.她突然站起来，唱起歌来。
She is oftenlate.她经常迟到。
I was neverhappy at home.我在家里总是不快活。
2如果一个句子的动词是由儿部分组成的(如 will be finished，have ，lived，should have been working)，最常见的是把副词放在第一个助动词之后。
We have alwayslived in this house.我们一直住在这所房子里。
This job will neverbe finished.这项工作永远也完不成了。
You should definitelyhave been working this morning.今天上午你肯定应该是在工作的。
放在其它位置也是可以的，如果动词短语的第一部分是“情态助动词”，或者是 used to，或 have to，尤其可以把副词放在其它位置。
You oftenmust be bored (or: You must often be bored. 你一定常常感到厌倦。
She could have easilybeen killed. (or: She could easily have been killed.)她差一点儿没给弄死。
We alwaysused to go to the seaside in May. (or: We used always to go…. Or: We used to always go….)那时候，我们总是在五月份到海滨去。
如果单用助动词，而不是用一个完整的动词短语，副词就要放在这个助动词之前。
Don" t trust politicians.——“ I neverhave, and I never will,“不要相信那些政客。”——“我从没有相信过，将来也不会相信。
“Are you happy?”——“ I certainlyam.“你感到幸福吗?”——“我当然幸福。”
如果表示方式的副词(这种副词说明某件事是怎样做的)用于句中，通常要放在所有助动词之后
Do you think the repair has been properlydone?你认为修理得象个样子吗?
When I saw her， she was being welllooked after。我见到她的时候，有人在细心地照料她。
When do you think you will have completelyfinished?你认为你什么时候可以全部搞完?
3、在加强语气的句子里，许多副词可以放在第一个助动词之前，也可以放在am，are，is，was，were之前。
I certainlydo like you。我的确很喜欢你。
“You should alwaysbe polite”——“I always am polite.” “你不论什么时候都应该有礼貌”——“我什么时候都是有礼貌的。”
You reallywill get a surprise one day.总有一天你会感到惊异的。
He said he would never tell them, and he neverhas told them.他说过他永远不会告诉他们，他也的确从来没有告诉他们。
4、在否定句里，有的副词放在not之前，有的副词放在not之后，这要看意思来决定。试比较：
I certainlydo not agree.我当然不同意
I do not oftenhave headaches.我不常头疼。
有些副词放在两个位置均可，但意思不同。试比较：
I don" t reallylike her.我不怎么喜欢她。
I really don" t like her.我实在不喜欢她。
放在not之前的副词，也可以放在第一个助动词之前；副词与do连用时，总要放在do之前。
I probablywill not be there. (or: I will probably not be there.我很可能不在那里。
He probablydoes not know.他很可能不知道。(不能说：*He does probably not know.)
在缩约否定式之前，只能放在一个位置。
I probably won"t be there.
5、限定词all，both和each可以和放在句中的副词放在相同的位置。
They must have bothbeen caught.他们俩一定都被抓住了。
You are allbeing silly.你们真死心眼儿。
二、position of adverbs副词的位置：句末
典型错误：*I went at oncethere.
*I think we should go earlyto bed.
*Come at four o"clock to my office.
*She went quicklyhome.
1、放在句末的副词(以及状语短语)，其顺序在一定程度上取决于节奏和强调，因此难以定出确切的规则。然而，一般说来，可以把方式副词(how)放在地点副词( where)之前，时间副词(when)放在最后。
I wentthere∣at once.(地点在时间之前)我立刻就到那里去了。
Come to my ofice∣at four o" clock.(地点在时间之前)四点钟到我办公室来。
I worked hard∣yesterday.(方式在时间之前)我昨天大千了一番。
She sang perfectly∣in the town hall∣last night.(方式在地点之前，地点在时间之前)她昨天晚上在市政厅唱得好极了。
遇到come，go， arrive等表示动作的动词，往往把表示地点(目的地)的副词放在表示方式的副词之前，这样较为自然。
She wenthome∣quickly.她很快回家去了。
2、表示地点的副词，有的指方向(如 backwards)，有的指位置(如in London)，指方向的副词一般用于指位置的副词之前。
I went to school∣in York.我曾在约克上学。
Who" s the man walking around∣in the garden?在花园里溜达的那
个人是谁?
I think they" re moving the piano into another room∣upstairs.我想他们正在把钢琴挪到楼上另外一间屋里去。
两个表示位置的副词连用时，大地方放在最后。
I studied in a drama school∣in Madrid.我在马德里一所戏剧学校学习过。
