hard to learn Englisha lot of studets have such similar thought that it is hard to learn English.there is no doubt that we are native chinese .we don't have superior conditions to learn English.The study of one language needs not only diligence but also good ways.for instance ,the way to keep the new words in mind ,the way to recite the common phase and make sure you will never forget them.But just remember : have confidence in yourself ,you can make it.

Two years ago when I began to learn English, I found it was hard for me to remember all the new words and so I didn't understand the listening exercises. My teacher gave me advice to try to learn at least ten new words every day and listen to the tape and radio programmes. So I kept on doing these and now I have made lots of progress in listening. Besides the listening problem I also had problems with speaking.I tried to get involved in English activities, such as,attend English debbates and speech contests,ask and answer at least two questions every English class,watch English movies and so on. I have had many difficulties since I started to learn English. Since I come from the south of China, I can not distinguish nasal sounds from non-nasals: they sound exactly the same in my dialect. Thus, I had a hard time telling “night” from “light” at the very beginning. My poor memory also added to the difficulties when I decided to enlarge my vocabulary. English words were so elusive that I could only remember them for a while.

I have spared no efforts to overcome the difficulties and finally succeeded. In order to tell the slight difference b

etween nasal sounds and non-nasals, I forced myself to speak mandarin everyday. Whenever I started to speak English, I reminded myself the difference between “night” and “light”. At first I felt it rather unnatural, but as I went on I was gradually accustomed to speaking in this way. As for my wretched memory, I gave up mechanical memorization and tried many other new ways. At last I found a most efficient way for me: memorizing English words by their stems and affixes. This is how I have overcome some difficulties in learning English.

I have been learning English for more than 5 years. I think learning English just like learning any other language, is hard work so I often spend much time practicing using English every day. I listen to the teacher and take notes carefully in class. Go over what is learnt regularly and finish doing our homework carefully.When I am free, I lik listening to English radio programmes, reading English stories and newspapers, watching English films and TV programmes.It's also very helpful for me to keep a diary in English and attend English debbates and speech contests. I think I have good ways of learning English. But sometimes I find it's difficult for me to write a wonderful composition and listening is also very hard. So I will read more and listen more so that I can improve my listening and writing very soon

you better not to recite words one by one, you best remeber them with the words in a sentence or to read english books and watch more foreign movies. about communication, you got to practice more, just try, don't be shy. the more mistakes you make, the more progres you make, anyway, nobody is perfect.as long as you make up your mind to learn english well and find some interests, you will make it

Most Chinese students have difficulties in learning English. The difficulties vary so much from person to person that it is difficult to cite here in a few words. Some may have problems in reading. Others may have trouble in writing. I also had problems in English learning, but my difficulty seemed to lie in listening. For example, when tested for listening comprehension, I couldn＇t understand a single sentence, let alone a passage of medium level.

In order to overcome the difficulty in my English learning, I made great efforts to find the key to the problem. I consulted my teacher and found out that I merely didn＇t have enough time to practice listening. So I bought a tape recorder and listened to it at least two hours a day. In addition, I listened to "Special English" on VOA. I also went out of my way to speak to foreigners on the campus whenever we meet so that I could have the chance to listen to the native speakers. After half a year＇s hard work, I could get 70% of the questions correct in listening comprehension tests.

I own my success to my English teacher. It is him who tells me the correct way to learn English. It is him who always encourages me when I encounter difficulties and feel disappointed.
