英语作文里吸引眼球的定语从句怎么写

定语从句是比较难掌握而又是考生在写作中喜欢尝试的复杂句，在写定语从句时可以尝试采用“三步法”：

第一步：写出两个简单句。

第二步：在一个简单句中找出一处要修饰的词汇，这个词在两个简单句中都要有。

第三步：把另一个简单句改成定语从句，要特别注意关系词的选择。如果定语从句中缺少主干，需要借助关系代词（that/which/who/whom）如果不缺少主干，需要用关系副词（where/when/why）

【示例】

第一步：写出两个简单句

（1）The foreigner is from Canada.

（2）He visited our class yesterday.

第二步：在（1）句中找到要修饰的词汇：the foreigner。

第三步：用句（2）充当定语从句，the foreigner为先行词为人，句（2）中的代词he指代the foreigner且在句子中作主语，故用who/that做关系词。

The foreigner who/that visited our class yesterday is from Canada.

（3）I have a friend.

（4）Her father is an engineer.

—I have a friend whose father is an engineer.

（5）I will go on a trip to Sichuan.

（6）There are a great number of places of interest in Sichuan.

—I will go on a trip to Sichuan，where there are a great number of places of interest in Sichuan.
