英语状语从句收藏（〈六〉条件状语从句）
在句子中作条件状语的从句称为条件状语从句。
条件状语从句可置于句首,也可置于句尾,有时还可置于主语和谓语之间。
条件状语从句通常由if(如果), unless(除非)，
as long as(只要)来引导,主句为祈使句,一般将来时。或有情态动词时,从句用一现在时。
1.if引导的条件状语从句
if引导的条件状语从句在复合句中表示主句动作发生的条件,是引导条件状语从句最常用的连词。if意思是“如果,假如”,表示在某种条件下某事很可能发生。
如:
If you get scared earily,do not watch it.
如果你很容易被吓坏，别看了。
If it does not rain tomorrow, we will go hiking.
如果明天不下雨,我们就去远足
If you fail in the exam, you will let him down
如果你考试不及格,你会让他失望的。
You will get good grades if you study hard.
如果你努力学习,就会取得好成绩
注意:if引导的条件状语从句可以位于主句之前,也可位于主句之后。如果从句在前、从句
与主句之间要用逗号隔开。
（1）在引导的条件状语从句中,主句中的动词常用一般将来时,从句中的动词用一般现在时，即“主将从现”。如
If it doesn’t rain, I will go for a picnic
如果不下雨，我就去野餐。
They are going to have a picnic if they are free next Saturday.
如果下周六有空,他们就去野餐。
在if引导的条件状语从句中,主句也可含有情态动词或是祈使句。如
You can go if you want.
如果你想去就去吧。
Don’t play computer games if you don ’t finish your homework.
如果你没有完成作业，就别玩电脑游戏。
Don"t miss the programme if you are a football fan.
如果你是个足球迷,不要错过这个节目
注意:在if引导的条件状语从句中,无论主句用一般将来时、情态动词还是祈使句,从句均用一般现在时。
(2)如果引导的条件状语从句所表达的前提或
条件将来可以实现或正在进行,动词要用现在完成时
或进行时,主句通常用将来时。
I"ll show you how to do it if I have finished the book
读完这本书,我就告诉你怎样做。
(3)If引导的条件状语从句和宾语从句的区别:
if引导条件状语从句,译为“如果”，通常考查的内容为:主句用一般将来时态,从句用一般现在时表示将来;if引导宾语从句,译为“是否”，如果主句是一般现在时,那么宾语从句可根据时间状语选用各种对应的时态;如果主句是一般过去时,那么宾语从句要用过去的某种时态。
If it doesn"t rain, I will go to the cinema tomorrow.
如果明天不下雨,我就去看电影。
--Do you know if we will go to the zoo next Saturday?
一一你知道我们下周六是否去动物吗?
--I think we’ll go if we don"t have much homework.
一我认为我们会去,如果我们没有太多作业
2.unless引导的条件状语从句
unless 意为“除非，如果不”，可用来引导条件状语从句。unless 引导的从句既可以放在主句之前也可以放在主句之后。当从句位于主句之前时，常用逗号与
主句隔开。unless 引导的从句可用if ... not ... 改写且句意保持不变。此外，如果主句是一般将来时态，则unless 引导的从句的时态通常用一般现在时表将来。
如:
You will fail to arrive there in time unless you start earlier.
如果你不早点动身,你就不能及时赶到那儿了。
You will be late unless you leave at once.
If you do not leave at once, you will be late.
如果你不马上走,你将会迟到。
Unless he studies hard, he will never pass the exam.
除非他刻苦学习,否则考试水远不能及格
We will not get there on time unless we leave earlier.
如果我们不早点离开,就不能准时到那里
Don"t come unless I telephone
如果我不打电话,请不要过来。
又如：
Unless you know the way to the mountain, you ’d better take a map.
=You’d better take a map unless you know the way to the mountain.
Unless you agree, I won’t read your diary.
=I won ’t read your diary unless you agree.
I sleep with the window open unless it ’s cold.
注意:当某种条件所引起的结果是一种情绪或想法时,不能使用 unless,只能用if...not,如:
I will be angry if I am not Invited to the party. (正)
I will be angry unless I am invited to the party. (误）
同if引导的条件状语从句一样,在 unless引导的条件状语从句中,主句也可以含有情态动词
或是祈使句。如:
He cannot see clearly unless he wears glasses.
他不戴眼镜就看不清楚。
Don"t touch the machine unless the teacher allows you to.
没有老师的允许,不要乱动机器。
3. as long as
在表示(只要,如果)的含义时,用as long as或so long as的情况均很常见。如:
As long as there is life there is hope.
留得生命在,不怕没希望.
You can go out, as / so long as you promise to be back before 11 o"clock.
你可以出去,只要你答应在11点以前回来.
I"ll accept any job as / so long as I don"t have to get up early.
只要不必早起,任何工作我都可以接受.
So / As long as electric current flows through a wire, there is a potential difference.
只要有电流通过,导线就有电位差.
As long as you are here, go on.
你既然已经来到这里了,就干吧.
As long as you are going, I"ll go too.
既然你要去,那么我也去.
