英语长难句阅读的常用技巧

英语四六级阅读，必考科学类的文章，不仅生词多，还要理解其中的实验逻辑。相信是很多考生的噩梦。但其实只要掌握规律，还是很好答题的，即使看不懂。
今天以一篇科普说明文为例。
《Piezo1 is a mechanically activated ion channel and mediates pressure induced pancreatitis》

（提示：标题很重要，几乎涵盖了文章所有的关节词汇，包括逻辑）
Merely touching the pancreas can lead to premature zymogen activation and pancreatitis but the mechanism is not completely understood.仅仅是触碰P就能导致过早的酶原激活以及AP，但其机理还没完全明白。

这是介词连接的两个句子，很好理解，有几个谓语（真谓语）就有几个句子。

长难句的特征之一，介词诱导的动名词短语。只要找到真正的动词induce,后面只管中文意思即可，词性可以忽略。

解析：
翻译时，常见的办法有，从后往前，即被动变主动，状语放开头。这里的生词其实都是上文的，所在说只要开头猜的准，接下来不是问题。

首先要克服密集恐惧症！这是很多学生犯的第一个毛病，见到长句就慌了。
这里的因果关系很明确，finally……thus……why……，这也是科学类阅读的特点。看不懂猜也猜的对。
文章下来，其实中心内容就是标题。看懂题目基本就可以做题了。
另一建议是，科学类文章的单词或词根重复率很高，只要平时多积累，全对是很可能的。
