饼干渣 橡皮渣（食物残渣 玻璃渣 “渣”翻译成英文竟要分10种情况）
1. Crumb 饼干渣
Don"t pick at or break your cookie. You"ll make crumbs.
别抠饼干，也别掰饼干。会掉渣儿的。
注：亦可用leave crumbs。
Crumb是一个可数名词，其单数形式的例句有：
You have a crumb on the corner of your mouth.
你嘴角有一个渣儿。
注：什么样的“渣儿”可以叫crumb呢？需要符合以下特点：(1) 必须是食物，(2) 干，(3) 掰、切或吃的时候会掉渣，(4) 掉下来的“渣儿“顾名思义要小。
我们制作了一幅图，方便大家收藏，它不仅列出了大部分leave crumbs的食品，还能帮助搞不清“饼干”到底翻译成cookie, biscuit还是cracker的同学们一次性弄明白（主要是英式美式差异惹的祸）。
除了图中的面食，fried chicken（炸鸡）、dark hard chocolate（硬硬的黑巧克力）等食物掉的渣，也可以使用crumb。
2. Crumbly 容易掉渣的
The bread is crumbly. Please use a plate to catch the crumbs.
面包容易掉渣儿，你拿盘子接着点儿。
注：Crumb来源于动词crumble，意思是弄碎，其名词形式crumbly意思是容易碎、容易掉渣。
3. Bits and pieces 其他食物和物品的渣
Don"t pick up and eat the bits and pieces on the tray.
别捡托盘上的渣儿吃。
4. Bits and pieces of meat 肉渣
Why don"t you finish the leftover bits and piece of meat on the plate? You don"t want to waste food.
你把盘子里剩的这点儿肉渣儿吃了吧。不要浪费食物。
注：(1) 亦可单独使用bits of…或者pieces of…表示渣，如：bits of meat。
(2) 还可以在前面加上tiny, little, small这样的形容词，如：tiny bits and pieces of meat。
Bits and pieces of something的用法不仅适用于食物，也适用于其他一些物品，如：
5. Bits of Eraser 橡皮渣
Could you please clean up the bits of eraser on the table?
你能清理一下桌上的橡皮渣儿么？
如果一些“渣儿”是物体被打碎产生的，我们还可以在前面加上broken，如：
6. Broken bits of glass 碎玻璃渣
Watch out for the broken bits of glass when you walk on the road.
走这条路的时候，小心着点儿碎玻璃渣子。
7. Scrap 不要的食物残渣
When you"re done with the dishes, don"t forget to clean the scraps out of the sink.
你刷完碗，别忘了把水池子里的渣儿清理一下。
Scrap除了含有“小而碎”的意思，还含有“准备被扔弃”的意思，所以同样是食物残渣，下面一个句子就不能用scrap了，而需要用到第4小点讲的bits of。
8. Tiny bits of food 食物残渣
Please brush your teeth carefully before you go to bed so there aren"t any tiny bits of food left in your mouth.
你睡觉之前要好好刷牙，这样才能把嘴里的食物残渣刷掉。
9. Debris 爆炸产生的碎片
On the morning after Chinese New Year"s Eve, I saw firecracker debris all over the ground.
除夕夜后的早晨，我看到满地的炮竹渣儿。
注意：debris的读音是["deibri:]，s不发音。
10. Coffee grounds 咖啡渣
Please pour out the coffee grounds and wash the filter.
你把咖啡渣儿倒了，把过滤网刷一下儿吧。
注：Grind是研磨的意思，其过去式和过去分词是ground。同时，复数形式的grounds还可以作名词表示研磨、过滤后的残渣。
