As most beaches are ideal places for swimming and sunbathing almost all the year around, it is well recognized as China" s four-season garden and holiday resort and attracts a large number of domestic and foreign tourists.

Since its founding in 1988, Hainan has made rapid develop- ment in tourism, service industries and high-tech industries and become the only special economic zone at the provin cial level. With the strong support of the central govern ment and the national people, Hainan will be built into the largest pilot free trade zone.

Qinghai is a province in northeast China which is dominated by mountains and plateaus and thus is characterized with an amazing average altitude of over 3,000 metres. Qinghai is named after the Qinghai Lake, the largest saltwater lake inChina, which is well recognized as the most beautiful lake in ina, one of the most popular tourist attractions and the heaven for photographers and other artists.

Qinghai features grand landscapes, vast territory and rich resources. The abundant reserves in oil and natural gas have contributed to the rapid economic development of many in the province. Furthermore, Qinghai serves as theIstream of China s three major rivers, namely, the Yangtze River, the Yellow River and the Lancang River, thus building an exceptional reputation in its water resources and playing a significant role in China s water ecosystem.

In contemporary society, there is a prevalent phenomenon that people in growing numbers find it difficult to live without tech- nology. Numerous studies claim that addiction to technology has the same effect on the brain as drug addiction.

Undoubtedly, such addiction has a range of negative effects on modern people. Firstly, a mass of students spend enormous time playing on their mobile phones, which dramatically reduc- es their attention span and decreases their learning efficiency. Then, employees of today are too dependent on technological devices while working. As a result, they might, to some extent, become lazier and even sometimes think passively. Besides, in our daily life, modern people have become progressively indif- ferent to each other. At restaurants, we can often see that 8 out of 10 people stare at their phones instead of talking with their friends sitting next to them.

There are several ways to prevent this trend from worsening. To begin with, parents ought to guide their kids to use technol- ogy in a reasonable way. Moreover, it is high time some tech-giants launched anti-addiction systems in their products.
