My Grandpa Who Still Retains Childlike Innocence

童心未泯的姥爷

My grandpa is 67 years old.

我姥爷67岁了。

He is retired.

已经退休了。

He is an architect before retirement.

退休前他是一名建筑师。

He is very wise.

他非常聪明。

He likes taking a walk after dinner and usually comes home at half past eight p.m.

他喜欢晚饭后散步，通常晚上八点半回家。

One day in this summer, he goes for a walk as usual after dinner, but he doesn’t get home at half past eight.

今年夏天的一天，他像往常一样晚饭后去散步，但他八点半并没有回到家。

At about nine a police car stops at his house.

大约九点钟，一辆警车停在他家门口。

A policeman helps him get out of the car.

一名警察扶着他下了车。

Then the policeman says to my grandma, “Your husband lost his way in the street.

警察对我姥姥说道:“你丈夫在街上迷路了。

We check his smart phone and got his information.

我们通过他的智能手机，查到了他的信息。

You should take carefully care of him.”

你应该好好地照顾他。”

After the policeman leaves, my grandma asks him: “You take a walk in that street every night, how can you lose your way?”

警察走后，我姥姥问他:“你每天晚上都在那条街上散步，怎么会迷路呢？”

“I didn’t lose my way,” my grandpa smiles and says, “I was just tired and I don’t want to go home on foot.”

“我没有迷路，”姥爷笑着说道，“我只是累了，不想走路回家。”
