英语副词already yet（still你一定要会正确使用它们）

already, yet, still

(1) already用在肯定句,作“已经”解。yet用在否定句作“还”解;用在疑问句作“已经”解。

He was already asleep in the bed, which smelled faintly of mildew.

(他已经在略带霉味的床上睡着了。)

The moon has already risen(月亮已经升起。)

He is already getting in trim for the big day.

(他已经在为那个重要的日子调整状态了。)

Has the moon risen yet?(月亮已经升起了吗?)

He has not yet come(他还没有来。)

already用在疑问句和否定句中,则表示惊讶。

Is he back already?(他这么早就回来了吗?)

肯定句中用yet时,有表达某种感情的含意,

You will succeed yet.你仍有成功的希望(不要灰心)。

(2) still放在动词前或后,表动作与状态的持续,作“仍然”解;若与比较级连用,则作“更”,“愈”解

The canary is still alive.(金丝雀仍活着。)

Are you still wide awake ?(你仍然十分清醒吗？)

I still owe you a lunch.(我还是欠你一顿午饭)

It was cold yesterday, but today it is still colder. (昨天天气很冷，可今天却更冷。)
