常见表述
happen单词的最常见用法，是表述某件事发生，出现了，尤指偶然或者突然发生。在口语中，我们会经常使用What happend? 来表达发生什么事了。但我们不经常使用What occurred? 因为这样说有些太正式了，在口语对话中是不会使用这样的句式的。记得ocurred是occur的过去式或过去分词形式，必须双写r然后+ed，现在分词形式也是一样的双写r+ing。
例如：
It all happened so fast, I tripped on the sidewalk.
事情发生得太快了，我在人行道上绊倒了。
基础用法
1、表述日期或者时间 day or time
例句1：
When did you get engaged?
你什么时候订婚的？
It happened on Saturday.
周六订婚的。
例句2：
Don"t worry, it happens all the time.
别担心，这事经常会发生的。
2、质疑询问现实结果 questioning reality
例句1：
I can"t believe this is really happening!
我不敢相信这竟然发生了！
例句2：
Oh no, this can"t be happening!
哦不，这绝不可能发生的！
3、未知情况 unknown situations
例句1：
You"ll never guess what happened!
你绝对猜不到发生了什么！

1、偶然碰巧发生的
例句：
Woah! I happened to buy the same beer!
喔噢！我恰好也买了一样的啤酒！
2、happen to + 动词不定式(Infinitive)
例句1：
If you happen to see Vanessa, tell her I said, "Hi"
如果你恰巧碰见Vanessa，替我问声好
例句2：
I happened to be asleep when he called me.
他打电话来时我恰巧在睡觉。

The teacher happened to give us a quiz on the day that I was absent.
