今天想给大家分享些「一眼就惊艳」的绝美英文翻译，值得你去收藏和感受。
我相信，语言是不可磨灭的无国界浪漫。
用钱钟书老先生的话来说就是——
" 翻译的最高境界是让原作「投胎转世」，躯壳换了一个，而精神姿致依然故我。"
01.
「 英文原文和中文翻译，全部完美对称。」
Able was I ere I saw Elba.
这句话为回文，也就是无论从左到右读，还是从右到左读，都是完全相同的。
据说，这是拿破仑被放逐到Elba岛时所说的话（虽然不太清楚拿破仑为什么说英文），其中的ere是“before”的古英语形态，所以整句话的意思是：
Able was I before I saw Elba.
在看到Elba岛之前，我无所不能。
上述翻译固然没什么问题，但却没有在译文中反映出原句巧妙的结构。
因此，许渊冲先生将其翻译为：
不到俄岛我不倒。
两组近音词（“不到”和“不倒”、“俄”和“我”）首尾呼应，遣词造句精妙至极，极大程度还原了原文中的韵味。
可这并不算完，随后老师又讲授了出自马红军老师的另一种译法：
落败孤岛孤败落。
全班瞠目结舌，拍案叹服。

「 冰与火之歌，绝美翻译。」
长夜将至，我从今开始守望，至死方休。
我将不娶妻、不封地、不生子。

他翻译诗人拜伦给情人的一封信。
★ 英文原文：

★ 钱老翻译：
此间百凡如故，我仍留而君已去耳。
行行生别离，去者不如留者神伤之甚。
还有海涅的一首诗。
很遗憾钱钟书先生只翻译了题目，但意境真的非常美。

Ein Fichtenbaum steht einsam.
★ 英译：
A single fir-tree, lonely.
★ 钱老译：
孤杉立高寒。

「 分享一些泰戈尔的绝美翻译。」
泰戈尔的诗也必须有姓名。
无论是英文版还是中文版，都美到窒息。
Let life be beautiful like summer flowers and death like autumn leaves.
★ 生如夏花之绚烂，死如秋叶般静美

★ 世界以痛吻我，要我报之以歌。
