初中英语常见表达法：请求（request）及应答（responses）

在不同的语言中，当人们需要别人帮忙时，因为有求于人，往往都会尽量使用一些礼貌用语。如汉语中的“请问”、“劳驾”、“拜托”、“打扰”、“敬请”等。在英语中，表示请求的常用表达有：

一、用祈使句

1. Please help me.=Help me, please.

可这样应答：Sure, what can I do for you?

2. Please don’t be late again.

可这样应答：Sorry, I won’t.

二、Can /Could you…?（用could比用can语气更客气、更委婉）

1. Can you give me a hand?

2. Could you do me a favor with this?

上面两句除了用Sure/Of course/Certainly/No problem/With pleasure应答外，还可用Yes, I can./Sorry, I can’t.应答（不要用could/couldn’t作答）。

三、Will/Would you…?（含有询问对方是否愿意的意思）（用would比用will语气更客气、更委婉）

1. Will you open the door for me?

2. Would you join us?

上面两句除了用Sure/Of course/Certainly/No problem/With pleasure应答外，还可用Yes, I will./Sorry, I won’t.应答（不要用would/wouldn’t作答）。

四、最有礼貌的请求（一般用于请求陌生人或不太熟的朋友或上级、长辈做某事）

一）.Will/Would/Can/Could you please…?请您……好吗？

1.Will you please give this note to Kate?

应答：与上面二、三的应答相同。

2.Would you please not call me John?

应答：Sorry, I won’t.

二）I wonder if you can…

I wonder if you can carry this suitcase for me.

应答：Sure/Of course/Certainly/No problem/With pleasure/ Sorry, I can’t

三）Do/Would you mind…?（用would比do更委婉、客气）

1.Do you mind going shopping with me?

应答：表示同意（不介意）：No, not at all/Not at all/certainly not/Of course not.

表示不同意（介意）：Sorry, but I do.

2.Would you mind not looking out of the window?

应答：Sorry, I won’t do that again.

3. Would you mind my/me opening the door?

Would you mind if I openedthe door?（用would开头时if 从句要用虚拟语气）

Do you mind if I openthe door?

应答：表示同意（不介意）：No, not at all/Not at all/certainly not/Of course not/Oh, no ,please/No, go ahead.

表示不同意（介意）：Sorry, but I do/Please don’t/Yes, you ‘d better not/I’d rather you didn’t。

为了使所表达的请求更礼貌，可以在前面加上Excuse me或I’m sorry to trouble you, but…,如Excuse me, I wonder if you can help me和I’m sorry to trouble you, but can you spare me a few minutes?
