"How + adj. + be + noun" is a commonsentence pattern used to ask about the levelof difficulty or easiness. For example, "Howeasy was the test?"

However, we can also ask about the difficultyor easiness of actions by using thisstructure:

For instance, in today"s dialogue, Dave asks, "How easy is it to resize?" He could have alsoasked, "How difficult is it to resize?" or "How hard is it to change the ring size?" These questions have the same meaning.

Besides "hard," "difficult" or "easy," we also use other adjectives to ask about the level of something.
