英语常用单词短语表达

He lost his balance and fell off his bicycle.

他失去了平衡，从自行车上跌了下来。

fall off在上面的例句中表示“跌落”的意思。

fall off还有“降低，减少”的意思，例如：

The unemployment rate has fallen off because of the latest policy.

英语中有很多和fall相关的短语，其中一部分只从字面上看不出具体的含义。

例如，fall into place就表示“变得一清二楚”的意思：
