英语语法专题：量词详解，方便记忆和运用。

本次专题我们来学习一下量词，通过学习本专题，可以帮助大家对量词有一个全面的认识。

量词范围

量词不是一种词类，而是许多与数量有关的词和短语，它们包含：

1）许多与数量有关的代词和限定词，如some、any、much、many等

2）各种数词，如two、half、a third、80%等

3）名词和of构成的表数量的短语，如a lot of、plenty of等

4）某些与数量有关的形容词，如enough、whole、half等

5）某些与数量有关的名词，如feet、miles、years、dozen等

6）某些与数量有关的合成词，如a five-dollar bill、a 6-page summary等

7）某些与数量有关词组的所有格，如two months"stay、four weeks" notice等

接下来将简单地加以说明。

与数量有关的代词和限定词

（一）有很多的的代词和限定词，特别是不定代词和相关限定词，可用来表示数量

There are manypeople standing at the crossroad,hesitating.

世间许多人站在十字路口徘徊。

This might serve severalpurposes.

这也许能达到几个目的。

How muchwater do you want ?

你想要多少水？

Fewwords are best.

少说为妙。

（二）这类代词也可作主语、宾语等，表示数量

1）作主语

Mostof the trouble in the world is caused by people wanting to be important.

人世间的大多数烦恼是由那些想成为重要人物的人惹出来的。

Many a littlemakes a mickle.

集腋成裘/积少成多。

None of us are surprised.

我们谁也不感到吃惊。

2）作动词宾语或介词的宾语

I don"t know muchabout psychology.

我不太懂心理学。

Better do a littlewell,than a great deal badly.

宁可做得少而精，不要做得多而糟。

Opportunity,sooner or later,comes toall who work and wish.

只要努力工作，心怀志向，机会迟早会来临。

由“名词+of”构成的量词

（一）词类量词为数很多，它们都在所修饰的词前面

有些名词可用复数形式，强调数量之多

（五）词类量词还有许多与容器有关

有些名词后可加词尾-ful来表示数量：

A spoonful of vinegar一勺醋

A roomful of antiques一屋子的古董

一些与数量有关的形容词

（一）一些与数量有关的形容词

The snow is five feet deep.

这雪有五英尺后。

The road is eight meters wide.

这条马路有八米宽。

The plant is three feettall.

这株植物有三米高。

The sidewalk is four feet broad.

人行道宽四英尺。

The outer wall is twelve feet thick.

外墙厚十二英尺。

The river is about 500 miles long.

这条河大约长五百英里。

The building is over sixty stories high.

这座大楼有六十多层高。

（二）一些与数量有关的名词

1）有许多单位名称经常和数词连用表示数量

This box weights five kilos.

这个箱子重五千克。

A pint of liquid is about four cupfuls.

一品脱约有四杯。

We"ve made 100 milestoday.

我们今天已经走了一百英里。

There are sixteen ounces in one pounds.

一英镑有十六盎司。

Water freezes at 32 degreesFahrenheit.

水结成冰的温度是32华氏度。

2）也有些名词和in连用，表示数量

He is two metersin height.

他身高两米。

She has grown to sixty kilosin weight.

她体重已增加到六十千克。

The kitchen is twelve square meters in area.

厨房的面积有十二平方米。

（三）其他一些表示数量的词

1）合成词
