介词的句法功能

1、作定语，修饰名词或代词等，一般应放在被修饰的名词或代词等之后The boy over thereis my brother.那边那个男孩是我弟弟。A friend in need is a friend indeed.患难朋友才是真正的朋友。Who"s the man in the white car?坐在白色小汽车里的那个男人是谁？

2、作状语，表示动作发生的时间、地点、方式、原因、条件等We go to school at 7:30 in the morning.我们早晨7点半上学。（作时间状语）A bird is singing in the tree.一只鸟正在树上唱歌。（作地点状语）She is looking at me in surprise.她正吃惊地看着我。（作方式状语）He was tired with climbing the building.爬楼他感到很累。（作原因状语）We couldn"t do it so well without their help.没有他们的帮助，我们不可能做得那么好。（作条件状语）

3、作表语，常位于连系动词 be 的后面Jack is in hospital. Let"s go and visit him.杰克在住院，我们去看看他吧。I"ll be in the office every afternoon.每天下午我都在办公室。4、作补足语He is considered as the greatest leader in China.他被认为是中国最伟大的领袖。（主语补足语）The farmer made the king out of water.农民把国王救出了水面。（宾语补足语）5、作主语From Hangzhou to Shanghaiis three hours by train.从杭州到上海坐火车要3个小时。
