Nature takes on our moods: she laughs with those who laugh and weeps with those who weep. If we rejoice and are glad the very birds sing more sweetly, the woods and streams murmur our song. But if we are sad and sorrowful a sudden gloom falls upon Nature"s face; the sun shines, but not in our hearts, the birds sing, but not to us.

自然传达着我们的心情：她与欢笑者同欢，与哭泣者同泣。假如我们欢欣愉悦，鸟儿的歌声就会更甜美，树叶沙沙，溪流潺潺，吟唱着我们的歌。倘若我们悲伤哀愁，忧郁就会瞬间照在她的脸庞；阳光依旧灿烂，却照不尽我们的心房，鸟儿依旧欢唱，但波动波不动我们的心弦。

The future will be just what we make it. Our purpose will give it its character. One"s resolution is one’s prophecy. Leave all your discouraging pessimism behind. Do not prophecy evil, but good. Men of hope come to the front.
